Finding The Right Subject To Blog About

by Remi on January 6, 2010

Sometimes I find my self in a black whole of information even if I’m totally surrounded by all sort of valuable information sources. It’s funny isn’t it? You have the world at your fingertips by the power of the Internet, yet you don’t seem to grasp a few words to make up a sentence not to mention a whole article.

Today I wanna talk to you about finding subjects to right about on your blog. It doesn’t matter what kind of niche you are in. When you blog there are two distinct directions you want to follow:

The first one is a more personal approach and it’s the style of successful bloggers after they went laughing all the way to the bank. They tend to write a more extensive version of a twitter tweet like: “I’m hungry now. I think I’ll go out to eat something.”

And they tend to write about the details of their private lives and use that as content for their already famous blogs.

But for the rest of us, not so laughing all the way to the bank, there’s this second approach in which you can talk about a common problem and a solution to that problem on a particular subject or sub-niche.

And one you know what exactly is your niche or your broad subject, then all you need to do is narrow down to niches inside your broad niche. Like for example, in the making money online niche, which by the way is a very broad niche, you also have list building as a niche inside the making money online niche.

The next thing you need to do is go out there on forums, social media places like Facebook or Twitter and The Warrior Forum and look for specific conversations of particular issues regarding your niche.

Keep an eye out for what other Internet Marketers are doing, what new products or services are launched and what are people talking about those products or services.

Another thing I do is look for free Private Label Rights or Master Resell Rights products or articles. I know the information is old and usually outdated but not the main idea or the core of the article or the particular chapter of an ebook.

Sometimes it’s as easy as finding a title, a headline, a particular question in order to give you a sudden idea for an article. It could be a video you watched by clicking on a link in your email inbox or as random as finding a website with StumbleUpon.com

By the way, I sometimes start surfing using the StumbleUpon service and I usually end up with a ton of new ideas. Sometimes I have to right them down. And that’s another great idea right there!

Make sure you have a little notebook to write down any ideas you might have. Did you know that Napoleon Hill, the famous author of “Think And Grow Rich” used to have a pencil and a peace of paper right next to he’s bed so that when he would woke up in the middle of the night with a new idea he could write it down immediately.

See what I did in this article? I red and listened and I wrote about a common problem that usually bloggers have when it comes to creating content for their blogs. Now go out there and find a couple of common problems in your niche and start writing about them.
