Making Money Online With Coloring Books

by Remi Vladuceanu on December 11, 2009

coloring-booksThe idea of making money online with coloring books came to me a few months ago when I realized there is a high demand for such books. And if you think about it, it’s always a nice pleasure to see kids coloring the heck out of those characters in the books.

Actually I was thinking on the recent increase in trends of the funny looking zhu zhu pets that people are literally obsessed with. I thought it would be a great idea to make a coloring book about zhu zhu pets that people can download and a PDF file and print it out.

But the truth be told, you could take any number of characters and transform them in coloring books. Just take a look at what’s on the trends and you will quickly figure out that characters like: Harry Potter, Dragon Ball Z or Bionicle are on the wave.

So, how to start your own online coloring book empire? Very easily. Search for free images on photo stock websites that offer images, photos and pictures with all sorts of things and places and people and animals. You could easily outsource this task on elance.com or guru.com.

Then you take each image and play with it a little in Photoshop or any good image design software will do. Remember you need to make the images look worthy of a coloring book.

That means getting rid of all the colors, and leaving only a black border with white space between. You can make a couple of pages with these characters and save them as a PDF file.

Make sure you add a special page in the PDF document where you tell people how to get access to even more coloring books by paying a certain amount or a recurring fee on a monthly membership bases.

Now distribute the PDF file on targeted forums, social platforms like Facebook and Twitter or offer it as an incentive for your visitors to subscribe to your newsletter. Of course, the website has to be related to the characters in the PDF file.

Later on you can start your own affiliate program by training your subscribers to do the work for you, have fun AND make money while doing so!

You don’t even have to buy your own domain name or anything like that. You could start right now with a simple blogger blog. It’s free and costs nothing to maintain.

Did I give you something to think about? Hope so. But more than that, I would like to see you try it out and succeeding with this. Post back if you decide to give it a try. I still have a couple of tips and tricks up my sleeve I wanna share with you. But only for those of you who decide to try this out.
