Google AdWords promotional codes

adwords-promotional-codeRecently I received an envelope with Google’s logo on it and I was very curious what it could contain! It turned out to be a gift from Google it self, in form of a Google AdWords promotional code that will expire at the end of august.

It seems that Google takes very seriously its customers and lately by implementing Direct Mail in its marketing strategy, it’s a sign that Google wants to extend even offline!

Now back to the Google AdWords promotional code, I have to say it’s a good marketing strategy and it does look good in the eyes of Google’s customers. Because, you see, even if you have an online business running on Google AdWords PPC campaigns, you are still a Google client. And it’s a good incentive to go on with your marketing efforts using AdWords.

Google understands this fact, thus giving out Google AdWords promotional codes for free, to anyone willing to try out the Google AdWords Pay-Per-Click advertising program.

The promotional codes work by giving free credits that are available to you for a specific period of time. In other words it’s a discount for PPC advertising. After that the code expires and you can’t use it any more. How does the promotional code actually work? Say you get a promotional code for 30 days that’s worth $200. That means, you can setup a PPC advertising campaign with Google AdWords and set the budget to $200.

If you really want to spend this money wisely, you can set your budget on a daily basis and not have to spend the whole $200 in one day. The best part using this strategy is that if you make a mistake the first 1-2 days, you can correct the mistake and still have the rest of your budget sitting safe.

Where can you get a Google AdWords promotional code? There are a lot of ways to get Google AdWords promotional codes. But most of the time the methods involved are not free. Usually it’s in the form of a bonus with another product or service which, if you purchase, you get the promotional code.

But, ironically, you can use Google to search for promotional codes as there are a lot of sites that offer such codes. But beware of scammers and such! I personally recommend only those services that are accredited and reliable, that offer Google AdWords promotional codes as incentives or bonuses.

And the securest way of getting a promotional code is to sign up to Google AdWords and get $50 as a bonus, that is only if you don’t have a Google AdWords account.

- Would you mind sharing with us what kind of product and services that you purchased in getting the promo code. The Ads value is quite high @ $200, so I guess the product that you brought must be of higher value?

Actually it’s not that high value at all. The currency is the national romanian currency. So we are talking about 200 RON, not dollars. And that’s around $67.

And I did get the promo code in an envelope, by mail, without purchasing any product or service from Google.

As I mentioned before, I’m a long time AdWords user so it’s probably Google’s way of trying to reward old customers :)
