No-Follow Free On RemiVladuceanu.com

by Remi on November 23, 2008

One of the many things I like about wordpress is the plug-in section. Anybody can search between thousands of interesting plug-ins and add them to their blog with a click ov the mouse.

I just did that with a nice plug-in that shuts off the No-Follow statement on your blogs links, including on the comment’s links.

You can see i have a red ribbon on the top-left side of the blog that says: “NOFOLLOW FREE”.

From now on, my blog I going to be a No-Follow Free Blog! That means you can link back to my blog as much as you’d like.

So bring it on guys! Let’s see some comments and links!

It’s true. When I first set up the blog I made it No-Follow Free but a couple of weeks after I posted this article my blog suddenly started to drop in the search engines and I knew I was being slapped by Google so I had to turn the No-Follow Free plug-in off.
And that is why it’s not a no-follow free blog.
I apologize for any inconvenience that this situation might create.

Matt Cutts just talked about how nofollow doesn’t hurt or help you anymore because that link juice you pass on is lost if you don’t pass it. You should check it out.

I can see why you turned it off you get notting but spam comments when you follow

Hi Chis,

Actually I wouldn’t mind spam comments that much and frankly I wasn’t so concerned about that, but in fact I noticed that Google was slapping me by getting rid of my website in the search engine! Every day I searched for my main domain name I noticed a drop in the number of results until one day, when I was left with less than 10 (TEN) results in Google!

I then realized what I have done… Immediately, I turned the no-follow free plug-in off! Next day I noticed an increase of the number of search results for my main domain name. I think that’s more than clear!…
